Guest Date of Birth: How the Movebooth Date-of-Birth Field Works

If you're running a photo booth at a bar takeover, brand activation, or venue night and want guests' dates of birth alongside their contact details, Movebooth Pro can add that field.

On Pro, you can add a date-of-birth field to your booth, optional or required. Guests enter their own birthday and Movebooth doesn't check ID, so for 21+ events, check ID at the door. This guide explains how it works, which plan includes it, and how to get the data out.

How Date of Birth Collection Works in Movebooth Pro

When you turn it on, date of birth is one of the fields on the share screen guests see after they take their photo. Here's the flow:

1. Guest takes their photo. Then the share screen asks for their contact details.
2. DOB field appears. The guest enters their date of birth on the iPad touchscreen.
3. You get the data. The date of birth is saved with the lead and included in your CSV export.

The DOB field can be set as required or optional in your booth settings.

This is a self-declared date of birth, not a government-ID verification system. Movebooth does not connect to external identity databases, driver's license scanners, or third-party age verification APIs.

What Data Gets Collected — and How You Access It

On the Movebooth Pro plan, the lead capture form at your event collects:

• Name (required or optional, your choice)
• Email address
• Phone number
• Date of birth
• ZIP code (also available on Pro)

All data collected during your event is viewable from your Movebooth dashboard. After the event, export everything as a CSV file, including the DOB field, and import it into any platform that accepts CSV uploads. Movebooth does not have native CRM or API integration; CSV export is the data transfer method. Any CRM, email platform, or marketing tool that accepts CSV import (Salesforce, HubSpot, Klaviyo, Mailchimp) works.
